Jonas Brothers Fans Lie In Wait For Their Big VMA Moment>>Selena Gomez
A line of girls has formed at Van Ness and Lemon Grove, outside Paramount Studios, home of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Blankets, towels and cushions are strewn across the sidewalk to make the concrete more comfortable. It's not yet noon on Saturday (September 6), but these dedicated fans don't seem to mind, because no wait is too long to see the Jonas Brothers.
"When you're a Jonas fan, you have to go to everything," Kayla Palmer explained to MTV News. "And I've been here since 3 a.m."
"I've seen them over 25 times," said Amanda Adamcyzk, who ditched her job at an insurance company to stand in line.
"We've slept over at 'Ellen,' 'Jay Leno,' 'Jimmy Kimmel,' everywhere," Jenna Lederer said, listing recent Jonas TV appearances.
These are not your average Jonas fans. The way they see it, if you're not here, you're an amateur, and they are the pros. "There's a big difference," asserted Maurissa Gomez, who skipped her shift at an Islands restaurant in Orange County to be here. For her, being a Jonas fan is an even better job — just one she doesn't get paid for.Read More
Selena Gomez denies 'I'm Sorry' is about Nick Jonas
"It's definitely not about Nick Jonas," the 16-year-old told People Saturday, September 6. "It's about someone back home in Texas. When I read it, I was like, 'Oh no this gossip has to go away!' I haven't known the Jonas Brothers for that long, but I've gotten really close with all of them."
Selena, 16, who stars as Alex Russo on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place is currently in New York to promote the show's second season.
Selena says she has started work on her debut album.
"This year I'm finally in the process of starting an album. It's something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and I also want to take my fans through that journey so I'll definitely do a whole behind the scenes thing," she said.
Looking ahead, Selena and her good friend Demi Lovato will appear in the family comedy TV film Princess Protection Program (2009), the story line for which goes like this:
When a tiny country is invaded by a dictator, a young Princess, Rosie (Lovato), is taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program. She is whisked away to rural Wisconsin where she must learn the ins and outs of behaving like a normal American teenager. In the process of adapting to her new life, Rosie gives her new friend and roommate, Carter, a few lessons in how to act with royal aplomb...Source: Sawf News

Heading off to the Toronto Film Festival, Zac Efron was spotted at LAX taking a flight to Canada from Los Angeles on Thursday (September 4).
The High School Musical star sported a striped v-neck t-shirt with jeans, sneakers and a beanie as he smilingly entered the airport and made his way past security.
Selena Gomez, who’s featured in the latest issue of Teen Vogue, recently spilled about a new song she just wrote called “I’m Sorry.”
The new track’s is about liking a guy who can’t get over his ex, rumored to be about Nick Jonas getting over ex Miley Cyrus.
“My favorite song that I’ve written is called ‘I’m Sorry’”, Selena tells Twist. “It’s about a boy I kind of fell for, but he couldn’t let his ex-girlfriend go, and it was really difficult. And I felt like in a way, I wasn’t good enough. So the song is basically me saying that I’m sorry that it didn’t work out or that she used to be who she was, but you have to let me in and you have to know that I’ll do everything I can to make you happy and be the best I can be. So that’s probably going to be the first one that I want to work on for my record. It will probably be the only ballad on the record, because I want the other stuff to be really fun. But that is probably going to be the most heartfelt one because it was the hardest time for me. That story actually happened to me.”Source: Just Jared
Miley Cyrus Foxwoods Show Sold Out
More than 3,000 people registered to buy tickets to the Sept. 27 Miley Cyrus concert at MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods, and the show was sold out by the end of the first day of sales on Wednesday.
For the first time, Foxwoods inititiated an online registration process designed to minimize ticket-scalping, and it “worked very well,” according to Bruce Flax, director of tickets for Foxwoods and MGM Foxwoods.
“If you look on well known scalper web sites as of (Thursday) morning, you can see 200 to 300 tickets for sale for Miley’s show in California,” Flax said, “and none for our show.”
Flax said his staff has been refining the program for some time, waiting for the right opportunity. Fans interested in purchasing tickets for the Cyrus performance registered online to get an access code essentially allowing them to wait in a cyberspace line for the opportunity to buy no more than four seats each. Within 24 hours registrants received, via email, a randomly selected purchase date and time and a unique one-time code allowing access to the ticket system.
Tickets were $150, $250 and $300.
The registration period started on Aug. 23 and lasted till the 29th. The codes were emailed on the 30th and tickets went on sale Wednesday morning.Source: The Day
The Jonas Brothers are down-to-earth heartthrobs
Despite their superstar status, the Jonas Brothers are down-to-earth.
It is only 10am but the sun is already blazing. The barricades have been placed opposite the legendary Ziegfeld Theatre on 54th street in Manhattan, New York.
A group of giddy and giggly teenage girls have secured the prime positions along the barricades. More will join them soon. These girls come as far away as Canada and Los Angeles for one reason. Actually, make that three reasons – Joe, Nick and Kevin – a.k.a. the Jonas Brothers.
Here, at the Ziegfeld Theatre, Disney will screen Camp Rock in which the boys make their major acting debut.
Never mind that the Jonas Brothers will only make an appearance on the “white” carpet (red carpet is so yesterday!) at 4pm. These girls are there bright and early to ensure they get the best spot so that the boys can spot them (and their home-made signs which read “Marry Me Nick!” and “The Jonas Brothers ROCK!”).Read More
Father Jonas knows best
Kevin Jonas Sr is both dad and manager to his celebrity sons, the Jonas Brothers.
One thing that is apparent about the Jonas Brothers is their humility. Everyone who works with the boys – from co-stars to bigwigs like Gary Marsh, Disney Channels Worldwide’s president of entertainment – has nothing but praise for their attitude.
Marsh says of Kevin, Joe and Nick: “They are insanely humble, grounded and down-to-earth. They are the everyday teens who happen to be superstars who are commanding audience of 50,000 people. It is an odd notion that they have not changed.”
To understand their humility, you just have to talk to their father, Kevin Jonas Sr. An ordained minister and a contemporary Christian musician himself, Kevin Sr has travelled to Malaysia on several occasions for concerts. “Kuala Lumpur is one of my favourite cities in Asia,” he says.
Asked if he would play in Malaysia again, Kevin Sr said that his music career is put on the back burner for the time being. “It is their time now,” says the 43-year-old who also serves as manager to his sons.Read More
